Aconnect – Your Telephone and the NBN
The National Broadband Network is been rolled out across Australia right now. And it creates the potential for exciting advances in our online lives. What you may not know is that it will also deliver your phone service. The technology under the ground may be new, but using the phone at home will essentially be the same. There are several ways you can connect your home phone to the NBN.
Traditional Home Phone
- The NBN Box on you wall includes two voice ports and four data ports. In the event of a power outage, if you have a standard corded phone the battery backup will allow you to continue to make calls.
Internet Gateway and Phone
- We will be able to supply you with the unit that plugs into one of the data ports, bringing together your internet and a shiny new phone all in one. You may also be able to connect your existing phone into this unit.
Internet Phone
- And if you’re already have an internet phone you’ll be able to continue to receive an internet phone service by plugging it directly into one of the data ports.
All three options will provide you with a great telephone experience.
