Aconnect – Before the Installation Day

Aconnect – Before the Installation Day

First think about the best place to the equipment to be installed. It must be near a power point, in a cool dry ventilated area, out of harm’s way, need your existing phone or network cabling and easy to access so you can check indicator lights.

If you’re not sure of where to install the equipment ask the installer who’s there to help. We will ensure at least one installation option is available. Your installer will be able to advise you where this is for your premises.

The Network Termination Device or NTD and power supply unit must be installed in the same building as the main electrical meter box. Because the NTD can provide both your phone and internet connection it’s preferable to install it near your phone and Wi-Fi router.

You may also want to consider how you will connect all of your different devices such as computers, smartphones, tablets, home phone and/or Internet TVs to the National Broadband Network. Don’t worry, we can help you with this.
