Can I run everything on a wireless network?
- Yes, it is possible to run most of services over WiFi
Do I need to install any cables and outlets or get a separate supplier for the internal wiring?
- If you decide to do a rewire remember that the cabling should always be done by the accredited technicians.
During installation, will there be interruption to my existing phone and internet service?
- There is potential for a short interruption to your service during the installation.
Will my monitored home security system or medical alarm work on the national broadband network?
- Most of the home security system and medical alarm will work on new system. Check with the manufacturer of home security system or medical alarm and talk to us to ensure that this is the case for your system and the correct connection has been activated.
Once I’m connected to the national broadband network, will my phone work if the power fails?
- In the events of the mail power failure the backup battery on the power supply unit is designed to keep a non-powered provided through a voice board on the network termination device working for approximately five hours. The internet will not work during power failures.
What happens if I can’t be home for the installation appointment?
- If you can’t be there, reschedule your appointment with us or authorize a trusted adult to give access and decide on the location of the equipment.
