Introduction

Welcome to the National Broadband Network. If the NBN equipment has been installed which you need to connect to the National Broadband Network including, the network termination device also known as NTD which connects your telephone equipment or Internet router to your service.

A power supply and battery backup unit which has two functions firstly, it provides power to your NTD and secondly, if there is a mains power failure the battery backup supplies power for approximately five hours to a standard corded phone connected to a working voice port. Check with FastNBN to see if this applies to you.

There’s also a fiber wall outlet where the fiber from the National Broadband Network enters your home or business
