Quick Start Guide

Quick Start Guide

Here are a few easy steps to get you started on the National Broadband Network.  Firstly call Aconnect on 1800Aconnect to get your service activated. Then,

· Plug In

Plug your equipment into the network termination device, also known as the NTD and use its voice or data ports as advised by Aconnect.

· Connect

It’s important that your NTD is always connected to the power supply and battery backup unit, and the power supply and the battery backup unit is plugged directly into a power point. The NTD also needs to remain connected to the fiber wall outlet, if either of these are disconnected your phone and internet services will not work.

· Check

When you have completed the steps the power supply and battery backup unit system’s status light will glow green and the NTD’s power and optical lights will also both glow green after a few seconds. You are now connected to the National Broadband Network. To get your telephone or internet services working or if you have any problems, please contact Aconnect on 1800Aconnect.

Remember plug your equipment into the NTD. Make sure everything is connected as directed by Aconnect and check the status lights to make sure everything is working correctly.
