How to Setup a Static IP in Netgear Router

  1. Connect your router to the NTD
  2. Connect a computer to the NETGEAR router and launch a web browser.
  3. Visit http://www.routerlogin.com, if that does not work, try to following:
    1. http://www.routerlogin.net
    2. http://192.168.1.1
    3. http://198.168.0.1
    4. http://10.0.0.1
    5. You are prompted to enter a username and password. Enter the  following default login credentials:

 

Note: username and password are both case sensitive

  1. Username: admin
  2. Password : password

Note: If the default login credentials do not work, you might have changed the admin password. If you cannot remember your new password, you must perform a factory reset to restore the router to its factory default settings. For more information, see Restoring a NETGEAR home router to the factory default settings.

 

  1. Under the Internet IP Address menu, select Use Static IP Address.
  2. Enter the static IP address, IP Subnet Mask, and Gateway IP Address provided at the end.
  3. Under the Domain Name Server (DNS) Address menu, select Use These DNS Servers.
  4. Enter the Primary DNS and Secondary DNS provided at the end.
  5. Click Apply to save the settings.
  6. To verify your changes, click ADVANCED and view the Internet Port information.
