How to Setup a Static IP in Netgear Router
- Connect your router to the NTD
- Connect a computer to the NETGEAR router and launch a web browser.
- Visit http://www.routerlogin.com, if that does not work, try to following:
- http://www.routerlogin.net
- http://192.168.1.1
- http://198.168.0.1
- http://10.0.0.1
- You are prompted to enter a username and password. Enter the following default login credentials:
Note: username and password are both case sensitive
- Username: admin
- Password : password
Note: If the default login credentials do not work, you might have changed the admin password. If you cannot remember your new password, you must perform a factory reset to restore the router to its factory default settings. For more information, see Restoring a NETGEAR home router to the factory default settings.
- Under the Internet IP Address menu, select Use Static IP Address.
- Enter the static IP address, IP Subnet Mask, and Gateway IP Address provided at the end.
- Under the Domain Name Server (DNS) Address menu, select Use These DNS Servers.
- Enter the Primary DNS and Secondary DNS provided at the end.
- Click Apply to save the settings.
- To verify your changes, click ADVANCED and view the Internet Port information.
