With the rollout of the NBN, the old infrastructure that use to carry your phone line will no longer work. This means that you’ll have to find another solution for your business phone, and NBN Voice is the perfect one for a small business that doesn’t need more than two lines!
When you get the NBN, a technician will install a Network Termination Device (NTD) in your home. This NTD is what connects your devices to the NBN, and it will have two yellow Voice (Uni-V) ports on it. This might sound a bit technical, but the Voice (Uni-V) ports are simply a replacement for your wall phone outlet. You’ll be able to plug your phone or fax machine into these ports, and you’ll be making cheap calls in no time!
There are some cases where an NTD will not be installed in your home at all, or it will only have grey Data (Uni-D) ports. This is to do with the type of NBN that’s being rolled out in your area, and there are plenty of options available for you, so you can replace your phone lines with no hassles.
